Working with clients who have experienced trauma can take an emotional toll on even the most experienced social worker. Preparing and following through with a self-care plan can facilitate a healthy working environment and protect against secondary or vicarious trauma. You will conduct a literature search on secondary and vicarious traumatization and the various ways in which social work practitioners who work with trauma survivors may be affected. Using the literature review, formulate your personal individual self-care plan that includes integrated literature-based strategies and your own creative approach to assist with self-care. Be creative and include factors that are relevant for you, including emotional, spiritual, physical wellness (fitness) and or financial wellbeing. The Self- Care plan should follow APA standards for formatting and not exceed 4 typewritten pages. Please attach your list of references, APA format.
