Yong, E. (2018, June 21). A landmark study on the origins of alcoholism. The Atlantic. https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2018/06/a-landmark-study-in-the-origins-of-alcoholism/563372/
Evaluation Criteria and Marking Rubric for Written Assignments
Required Format
Begin with a cover page that includes a descriptive title.
The main text should be no more than two pages (~500 words) of double-spaced text in 12-point, Times New Roman font, with one-inch (2.5 cm) margins. This excludes the cover page, visual enhancements such as figures, and the references list.
Since this is a summary of one article, you need not cite every reference that you make to the article on which you are writing. Generally, just cite the article once at the beginning of your assignment—for example, “(Jones & Smith, 2019)”—and then refer to it later as “the study” or “the article” or by using the authors’ last names only (for example, “Jones and Smith note that . . . ”). Include a page number if you quote the article directly, but don’t use quotations very often; try to explain things yourself. However, do carefully cite any other sources that you refer to using APA style , and add those sources to your references list at the end of your assignment.
Support all claims by referring to the article that you are writing on or by citing other sources. Clearly indicate any personal beliefs or suppositions as such.
Make sure that any visual enhancements that you include are clearly labelled and are relevant.
Writing Quality
Follow standard English grammar and punctuation rules.
Use correct diction (word use, vocabulary).
Use specific, concrete language.
Make sure that your sentences are no longer than necessary, and that longer sequences of ideas are broken into separate, but connected, sentences.
Make sure that your writing is cohesive. There should be a clear flow between sentences and paragraphs. Use transitions such as logical connectives (for example, “however,” “similarly,” “in contrast,” “for instance”) to show the relationships between sentences and between paragraphs.
Avoid the use of lay terms and colloquialisms. Those are usually only used for the rhetorical purpose of getting the reader’s attention.
Assignment Instruction:
Select an article from the list of articles below. For each article, the unit or units with which it is most closely associated is indicated—that is, a related topic or perspective.
Some of the following articles were written by researchers about their own studies, others are summaries of studies by done by other researchers, and others are by science journalists and writers with varying backgrounds. While these articles have been chosen for their appropriateness for the assignment, do not assume that all of the claims made in these articles are entirely valid and broadly accepted. Some of the research is new, and there may be reasons to question claims made by the researchers. Broadly speaking, the articles have been chosen because they present interesting ideas backed by research. In most cases, they raise any alternative interpretations, challenges, or competing perspectives. But read the articles critically and question any claims that the authors make. Include any comments or observations related to this in your response.

What are your thoughts about the following statements? Also, what is you answer

What are your thoughts about the following statements? Also, what is you answer to the question: “Are we polygamous or monogamous by nature?”
“About 78% of human societies are polygamous, in which some men marry more than one wife.[2] Only 22% of societies are strictly monogamous. No modern societies are polyandrous, in which one woman marries several husbands (not counting extramarital sex, and a poor region of India and Tibet where women marry brothers because the work of several men is needed to provide resources to raise a family). Only 3% of mammal species in general are monogamous, although at least 15% of primate species are.[3] In historical terms, it is monogamy that is in need of explanation, not polygamy.[4]
— Janet Bennion, Women of Principle (1998)
If you like the reference sources for these statements, I will provide them for you. Your post must be 250 words. Also, you are required to respond to one of your classmates’ response. Please read the attached article prior to posting your discussion.

**First half of paper Discussion 7713:
Environmental Considerations
When designing a treatment plan, it is important to consider the client’s environment and preferences. For this discussion, provide examples of how you may need to adjust a behavior plan to address preferences or environmental constraints. Describe some ways you might attempt to determine client preferences and environmental constraints that could affect your plan.
**Second half of paper discussion survey of methods
Discuss your personal preference of organizing sources during a literature review: literature matrix or map? What aspects of either approach do you find helpful?
After completing the readings for this week, share which reading most interested you or you felt was most immediately relevant to your own professional or academic career.
I shared which reading that I read:
Creswell, J. W., & Creswell, J. D. (2017). Research Design: Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods Approaches(5th ed.). SAGE Publications, Inc. (US). https://capella.vitalsource.com/books/9781506386683

The nature of the recommendations should flow from the client’s needs. This may include but is not limited to treatment goals stemming from the theory you used to conceptualize your client, areas deserving some focus, incorporation of outside resources, steps or actions to be taken by parents, teachers, peers, or the client.

Continue the discussion from last week, but this time post a video of someone learning something new through a method aligned to the behavioral learning theory. Be sure your video has a transcript or captioning. Address the same points as you did in Week 1:
Summarize your observation.
What evidence in the video is available to support your observation?
What do you conclude based on the observation?
What information might you need to confirm your conclusion?
Comments from Customer
the writer can choose any video.
